All BSL translations are created by our in-house team of experienced and
qualified Deaf BSL translators, quality checked by our in-house interpreters, and
edited by our editing team to your specifications and branding, with captions if
required. This process ensures quality and consistency.

Why provide BSL translations?
Translating content into BSL is important because the average reading age for a Deaf school leaver is between 8 and 11 years, and BSL has a distinctive grammar that is different from English, Deaf BSL users can have difficulties reading documents and captions on videos.

- The UK has over 150,000 users of British Sign Language
- 87,000 of these people use BSL as their first language, not English

- The UK Government recognised BSL as a language in March 2003
- In April 2022 The BSL Bill is given Royal Assent and becomes the BSL Act 2022
